Titration is a laboratory technique used to determine the concentration of an unknown acid or base by reacting it with a known acid or base.

How to find pH during a Strong Acid/Strong Base titration.
1. Determine that you have a strong acid and strong base
Strong Acids: HCl, HBr, HI, HNO₃, HClO₄, H₂SO₄
Strong bases (Group 1 or 2 metals +OH)
2. Find moles of acid and base. moles= M(L)
3. Subtract smaller moles from bigger moles.
4. Divide the moles left over by the total volume in liters (add up the volumes).
5. If you have acid left, the molarity of acid = [H+], pH=-log[H+]
If you have base left, find the molarity of [OH-], and pOH=-log[OH-] , pH = 14-pOH
